First I want to state unequivocally that the Patriarchy is not the problem in our country. War is not a product of toxic masculinity. In fact women in history have been some of the most ruthless rulers in history. I want to bring a logical view on issues that are often perpetuated by radicals against men in our society. In this article I want to talk about the this idea of toxic masculinity, male privilege, and feminism.
Toxic masculinity
Let’s take a look at the definition of toxic masculinity: “social science term about the male gender role, that defines masculinity as being violent, unemotional, sexual aggression, and so forth.” To some this is a problem. Unless you effeminate yourself and are a full blown self hating feminist, they’re not happy. For reasonable people, a good balance of masculinity is a good thing. Personally, if I am going to be with a man, I want a masculine guy. Someone who can make you feel safe and protected, yet not an over the top meat head. I don’t prescribe to the idea that masculinity is toxic as a whole, in fact it is desirable. The toxic traits are not exclusive to men. Many women have the same attitudes, though not as prevalent. At at this point, we can talk about about toxic femininity. That is a thing too.
Male Privilege
The idea of male privilege was generally a myth to me. It‘s perpetuated by “woke” leftist to push their 3rd wave feminist agenda. However the combination of living full time as a woman, and seeing biological men take over women’s sports I can see how the term can fit. Not for the same reasons that feminist want to make you believe. It is true most biological men are built different then women. There is always going to be the woman who is giftedly strong, the man who is not. Those are anomaly’s. I have had the experience of growing up with natural Testosterone for 17 years. I then transitioning and got my hormones in natural female levels. What a difference it make . Not to get into all the details, but after 17 months I still feel I am able to recover fairly quickly. My muscles remember, and I am able to buld back up. (see my series on the differences between men and women for more) I believe that any biological male, that has gone through male puberty, has an advantage over someone who only went through female puberty. (Including trans kids). So how could I say that it is anything but male privilege that allows them to compete with women in sports?
Barriers
Do I believe that there have been barriers for women to succeed? yes. Do I think some of those barriers are still in place? Yes. However it is not a left vs. right issue. It is an issue with the elite in the world. We have to remember that women only got the right to vote in 1920. That is only 3 generations. It takes time to change a culture after that, and it wasn’t. until the 50s that women stepped out of the homemaker role and pushed to succeed in business. This is a point that advocates of any affirmative action miss. How long doe it take to become the CEO of a company; 60+ years? We are talking about 70 years from the start of the social revolution. We know the pay gap is a myth, but in the last few years the lid has been blown off how the elite have kept these barriers. With people like Harvey Winestein and Jeffery Epstein, we come to learn that the issues are Apolitical. In fact I believe women in many ways have gained the power with the help of social media. This is a sections on male privilege though. I don’t believe that a man can simply succeed because he is male. Even a decade ago, before this social revolution, maybe, but there have been many of women who succeeded far before that. At this point I believe it has switched, and there is a female privilege that isn’t talked about.
Yes, female privilege. I did a video a couple months ago with two trans men. Ironically they have not felt this male privilege yet. They did however speak about losing their female privilege. Mostly when it comes to relationships, women have the power. They get in the bar for free, many never have to pay for a drink, and it is much easier to find a date. There are some men who think they can get whatever they want, but the vast majority of men have a harder time then women getting dates. Now to top it off, with the elite being exposed, we are seeing women being empowered more than ever. Because of this, the tables have turned and they are being hired more then their qualified counter parts. In fact women hold 50.04% of the jobs in the country. Especially as skilled labor jobs decrease with technology. This is the work of Feminism, and a good thing.
Feminism
I do consider myself a feminist, but not the new brand of third wave feminism. Anyone that isn’t bigot should be a feminist. “the advocacy of women’s rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes.” Seriously, who doesn’t want equality for the sexes?(Except for maybe the elite that is being exposed) I think we are there, though. The current 3rd wave movement doesn’t want equality, they want women superiority. It shows, especially when it comes to politics. Many will vote for a woman over a man regardless of their positions. Provided they are a liberal of course. The fact that Joe Biden has ruled out considering a male VP is sexism, and would be a violation of the Civil Rights Act of 1968. Just like any social activist, if 3rd wave feminist ever says we have equality, they would be out of a job. They don’t want what they preach.
Conclusion
In this time in history we have equal rights between the sexes. Men and women have the same opportunities to succeed. Especially as some of the sexist elite are being exposed. Women have a lot of power in the workplace. We have to look at the stats when it comes to making claims of a sexism. We know that women make the same as men for the same job. We know that the pro athlete pay gap is because their sports don’t make as much money. If woken women. supported those sports (instead of trying to get men to watch), then they would do better then men’s sports. Women are increasingly getting promoted to more senior positions. At what point do we start talking about the Matriarchy?
